Just want to give an update on this caravan park. The park has new owners as of mid December 2013, they also have new Managers as of June 2014. Both the owner and new managers are committed to providing great customer service and will ensure that stay is enjoyable. It is a very relaxed friendly park situated on the Boyne River.
Not impressed with this caravan park or how it is run. When we arrived it was a painfull setting up our site as the management insisted on coming over ever 2 seconds and asking for us to move the tent to another position from the previous place they told us to set up (this happened 3 times). When we asked where we were to plug in our extension lead for power instead of using the UNUSED power socket 8 metres from our site we were shown to a power outlet 25 metres from our tent. We had to drive to the other side of town to go buy a long extension lead to reach (not overly cheap) and when we finally plugged in, you guessed it, it didnt work! The management boast about the "relaxing surroundings" however the fighting at 2am both nights we were there and a dog which barked CONSTANTLY day and night (lives across the road) were not all they were cracked up to be! It really is a shame that people like you can just jump on the internet and leave a review like the above with no regard to how this may damage a persons business and lively hood. You get to hide behind a computer while the businessiness is on show.
If it was a nice place but room for improvement then rate it 2-3.
