I pulled up to get petrol in the mid afternoon on a weekday. In a normal car (98 Camry). I go to add fuel to my tank to find the pump not working.. I hear a voice 5 seconds later saying " PRE PAY PLEASE" I go inside and ask why am i pre paying? "Well i didn't recognize you or the car, so I asked you to pre pay" "So you are judging me by the way I look?" I reply. "Yes" is my answer. I said "You should have a sign or something" Paid and filled up and left fuming that I have been scrutinized like that. AVOID THIS BUSINESS unless you like being judged.
Absolutely discraceful. I had to prepay fuel tonight only had 5 dollars with me, Went in pre-paid fueled up and expecting the pump to stop by itself, It didnt went over to $5.07 cents they waved me in for the five cents. I had no more change whatsoever i asked if i could pay by eftpos and they smiled and said NO. they said if i didnt pay the police will be called. A kind stranger gave me five cents i gave it to them, they smilled and said have a nice day. i go to that service station every second day and pay $11 for a loaf of bread and 2 litres of milk and spend over $100 dollars per week in fuel. All up i would spend over $6000.00 dollars there per year. I informed them of this and congratulated them on their business model and promised i will never return to that store.
So for Five cents they have lost over $6000 per year of revenue.
