At Brainastics we run a literacy program for pre-schoolers that is fun, stimulating and effective. We tap into children's natural curiosity, to promote and extend reading and writing skills, as well as speech, and fine motor skills.

We achieve this by providing a non-threatening, friendly environment where children can work to their own ability, experience success regularly and develop confidence in their own skills.

We teach using the internationally renowned Jolly Phonics program, recently referred to on Today Tonight (March 11th 2008) as a system that is revolutionising the way Australian children are learning to read and write. It uses a multi-sensory approach which caters for the different learning styles, and focuses on the 42 main sounds, rather than just the 26 letters of the alphabet.

Jolly Phonics is a thorough foundation for reading and writing. It teaches the letter sounds in an enjoyable, multi sensory way, and enables children to use them to read and write words.
