Breadtop is a great stop by in & out to grab a quick bite. I love the different variety of baked breads and sweets breads. Highpoint is my nearest to home and my all time favourite is the twin sausage roll in sweet bread. I usually buy it the night before to have the next morning as i normally don't have time to make breakfast. They are popular as times i do come in they have sold out. One time i went in to grab about 10 of the twin sausage as i was preparing for the next day long weekend family road trip. I basically took all of the twin sausages to turn around to a queue of people wanting the same. Woops, i felt a bit embarrassed but they are that yummy for a cheap price of $2.40 each i can see why a lot of people like them. Funny thing was the owner didn't mind if people walked away because he just made a good sale with me and we both giggled about it. And Breadtop is so popular there is always a favourite that sells out.
Aw the famous Breadtop that is just popping up in all major shopping centres and across CBDs. Each time I walk pass one of these bakery, it just reminds me so much of the shiny yellow store as each of their bread/sweets has this golden colour coating on it, and of course the lighting just adds to it. Most sweets/pastries will cost anything from $2-4, prices are alright and pastries are ok, nothing compared to the caf style cakes but its still yummy if youre after a quick bite. I also like their bacon and cheese roll which cost only $2.50, its cheap compared to going into Woolies and picking up one of theirs in which taste like its been sitting there for a hundred years! So if youre in the centre and have never gone into one of these Breadtop, worth dropping by, service are quick and efficient. Its more or less self-service, you pick up a tray and pop on it what you like and its all added up at the counter, simple as that!
