The scene at Breadtop was like everyone had been informed there would be no more bread for sale, and there was literally very little bread still available for sale. I navigated the queue of customers with trays loaded up with the Asian sweet breads and nabbed one of the few remaining bags of dinner rolls. And they were delicious.
Interesting place this. Sort of like a eatery combined with a bakery. They serve a range of sweet and savoury pastries with a decidedly Asian bent to them. I ordered a Blueberry bun and it was quite nice. Not sure if I would go back... I am more a pie man but it was nice enough. Parking is a pain being inside Chermside but then you would not go all the way there just for a bakery anyway so you might as well grab a bite to eat whilst you are shopping.
