BreastScreen Queensland: quality and care women want.BreastScreen Queensland Brisbane Northside Service provides free breast cancer screening for women aged 50 -69 years as this is the age group most at risk of developing breast cancer. Women in their 40s and 70 years and over are also eligible for free breastscreens in the BreastScreen Queensland Program.
Brisbane Northside Services are located at Chermside, Taringa, Keperra, Kippa-ring, North Lakes, The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the David Jones Rose Clinic in Brisbane City. A mobile service visits Nundah and Brighton throughout the year.
Individual and group bookings are available and a doctor's referral is NOT necessary.
Health Promotion Officers are available to speak to community groups and workplaces about breast cancer and breast cancer screening free of charge.
