Best pancakes I've ever had! The staff were so lovely and funny, feels like a welcoming family restaurant. I had the berries and maple syrup pancakes and an Iced coffee, and both were delicious. The toilets are very clean and homely. Definitely worth the stop! Will be returning soon :)
Poor poor poor! After a great trip to the coast we finally decided yo stop. The staff are extremely rude and CLEARLY HATE CHILDREN! We asked 2 questions in regards to food and coffee and that set the staff off. Staff was starring at my family from the kitchen, multiple staff members were clearly speaking about my family with no apparent problem. I felt that uncomfortable I asked if there was a problem, everyone threw up there hands, yelled no and walked off. I spent $42 to feel uncomfortable, awkward and didn't even eat my poor rubbery pancakes. AVOID ESPECIALLY WITH KIDS OR GROUPS!
Well. I'm not surprised by the negative reviews. After coming home from a family trip to the Xmas shop, and then stopping for brunch at the pancake shop, I thought I'd get on-line and see if anyone else thought these people were rude.
Wouldn't go back due to the staff. There was 8 of us when we got there and tried to sit out the front but the staff said we "we can't bring any chairs or more tables out" so inside we go. Sitting with my 1 year old son as he was playing with a menu a staff came out from the kitchen and said "don't let him play with that, he'll cut himself on the corners" and with that took the menu and went back to the kitchen. I was really enjoying my meal until I received a sharp jab in the back of my throat. Assuming it was the casing from around apple seeds I was shocked to pull a shard of plastic from my mouth. I wouldn't have taken this further if it hadn't been for the glares I received from the kitchen staff after politely pointing it out to the staff who cleared our table. We didn't make a fuss or even expect a discount so this surly attitude from staff was unwarranted and very disappointing.
Well it's been a day short of a year since I last visited this restaurant and provided my rating. Again, my opinion has not changed. Food and service quality consistent with my last visit.. Now either I'm nuts or others here who rate this place poorly are simply too demanding. I'm very particular about the food I eat and the way I'm served. From order to service was around 10-12 minutes and the coffee was damn good to.
I decided to go here on spec as it was a nice day for a motorcycle ride and the choice was South.
