For the second year in a row I ordered a fresh turkey for a special holiday feast 4 weeks ahead of time. Received a frozen turkey (midday, not morning as requested) 2 out of 2 times. When I rang to let them know how bad a half frozen turkey is when you have 3 families coming over for dinner at 6, they offed me a comp jar of cranberry sauce and suggested thawing in water. Do you know how long it takes to water-thaw a half frozen 8kg turkey? They claimed it was their supplier's fault that the fresh turkey was frozen. But funny that when I picked it up they had warned me that it 'was not frozen' but could be 'very chilled' from the truck from SA and I could leave it on the bench for a while before cooking. Very very expensive meat but the most AMAZING animal you could ever get I always go there for meat but I think my credit card is maxed now.
