I have been buying from Brentwood for many years. I am not a local and I travel quite a distance to buy their beautiful and unique items. I find the ladies in there delightful and we always manage to have a laugh about everyday things, as ladies do!
I will be going to see them in the next few days with my Christmas list at the ready and I am sure I will fill it completely. One stop shoppping.
I cant wait to see their Christmas goodies. Look out ladies, here I come!!!
Went into brentwood this morning and spend close to $100 on 3 gifts for xmas. Firstly they did not have xmas wrapping to wrap the gifts with. Only thing they had was blue tissue paper.
Secondly they put all 3 gifts in the same carrier bag. When i asked if they could put them in 3 smaller carrier bags they refused. Wait for this ..... one bag per customer policy.
Are you kidding me? How rude! Their products are very similar to what you get from a two dollar shop. They are made in china. Only difference is the higher prices and pakaging. The only way i was hoping to differentiate my gifts from that of the two dollar shop was the brentwood logo on the carrier bag.
A big turn off and left me with a bad taste. Won't be going back there in a hurry.
Bad service, especially the staff. No smiles, not friendly, short and unhelpful answers. I asked if a glass item had a box staff said rudely "No, none of the glass items comes in a box!". Had to wait ages in line to pay, whilst the same staff looked at me and kept slowly putting stock out for display. Only after about 5 mins did staff come over and serve me and showed disinterest in the transaction. Such a shame, I am a local and absolutely adore the items they have, but such bad customer service!
I have to agree as the shop is beautiful, however the service is non existent and unprofessional. It makes me wonder how they are still trading.Over the past years we have experienced similar service, no smiles,offer of assistance, if you ask a question you are treated as an inconvenience and recently my daughter heard the owner say to one of her assistants that they could deal with these people as she rolled her eyes walking off-unbelievable!
We are not alone as we are locals and know of quite a few ladies and men who have had similar experiences and are reluctant to visit anymore!,I find it amazing with such strong growth in internet shopping and struggling retailers they present themselves this way.
