Brewtown Newtown is a cafe, micro roastery, brew bar and retail center in one! In addition to a cultivated approach to coffee, Brewtown Newtown serve seasonal breakfasts and lunches using free range, organic and pasture fed produce.
The ground floor features a retail collective merging creativity, fashion, art, lifestyle and most importantly food in one location.
I was told cronuts came from here,I have no idea! A trendy cafe on the side street on the main road in Newtown. I had no idea this place existed and for a Tuesday brunch time,it was busy. I ordered the Hotcakes with mango curd,if you had the Hotcakes by itself it was a bit sour. The mango curd though balanced the flavours but the fruit that came with it(blueberries and strawberries) wasn't that sweet. It was a filling meal though but I probably wouldn't order it again. One friend says the cronuts are good here and another friend says the corned beef hash is the way to go! Maybe next time
Very popular, hipster brunch spot in Newtown. They were originally famous for their cronuts, which many other cafes stock now too. The cronuts are delicious, crispy, sweet with heaps of flavours to choose from. Definitely a very decadent treat. I have to say though that their food is pretty average, and the price is ok, definitely more pricey than outer western Sydney.
Very stylish, modern place. Still very very popular. I think they have become a little better at handling the waiting crowds of people but it is still very annoying. The cronuts are nice but I think the other pastries they have are just as nice. I always feel my coffee is never hot enough either, so that would be my advice for them to improve on.
