Brides Of Manuka

My dress was very beautiful (and very expensive!), however:

1. I was verbally advised that my wedding dress was made to fit, however it wasnt.
2. One of my bridesmaids dress arrived in the wrong size. Then after resizing, it came back with unfinished seams and missing a layer of chiffon. Unfortunately we didnt have time to have this fixed before my destination wedding.
3. My wedding dress had several marks on it (though this may have been the lady who did the hemming....)

The owner refused to accept responsibility for any of these issues.

The staff member called me by the wrong name despite being corrected. I informed them of exactly what style I liked - however they informed me that x-y-z would be must more 'suitable' as it was 'slimming'.

They didn't listen to what styles I wanted to try on, or which material I didn't like - they made me feel very rushed, uncomfortable and was very condescending.

Despite making it clear I didn't want A-line/princess/ball gown style, & I definitely didnt want a train - I was told 'well that's all I can do for you, you don't know what you like until you try it'. This is the point I left the store.

I would recommend this shop if you are happy to be bullied into what the sales 'assistant' thinks is what you should wear, and are happy for you requests/likes to be completely ignored.

I had been putting off looking for a dress as being plus sized I was really nervous. I'm so happy that I went here. They had quite a few dresses for me to try, in different styles and fabrics and I ended up finding my dream gown. The service I got here was great. I felt at ease pretty much straight away because the ladies here are so friendly. I will recommend them to everyone and I can't wait for my dress to arrive.

The staff are so friendly, approachable and just really really nice. By far the best customer service of any bridal store in Canberra. My wedding has been and gone and I couldn't be happier. Every time I went in they were friendly and smiling and I felt so welcome and relaxed. AAA+++

I got my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses at Brides of Manuka. It was the least stressful part of my whole wedding. The owner is one of the loveliest people I met. Thanks so much, I tell everyone about how great you guys are.
