The thing with Richmond is that there are quite a number of decent pubs making it difficult to select one that would have to be my favourite, though this one comes pretty close. The problem with the Bridge is that it is down the other end of Bridge Street making it a little difficult to reach all that often. However this place definitely comes close to being one of my favourites. The really cool this about this pub is that when you step in through the doors you find yourself in this really cool court yard. Actually it looks more like an inner-city alley way than an actual court yard. The main bar is down here, but there are a number of other bars around the pub. The other thing about this place is that each of the rooms look substantially different. It is as if the place is multiple bars in one. My favourite spot in this pub has to be one of the small balconies on the second level that over looks the courtyard (though this place occasionally gets booked out for functions). ...read more
