The Brisbane Arts Theatre is a gem of a theatre hidden in plain site on Petrie Terrace.
I have attended a few performances at the theatre this year and have enjoyed the breadth of material the theatre covers. From the youth orientated "He Died With A Felafel In His Hand" to the thought provoking "Hero's Funeral" to the madcap antics of the resident Brisbane Arts Theatre improvised comedy troupe "ImproMafia". It is amazing the level of interesting product this local theatre can produce. The price of the tickets is also very reasonable when compared to other theatres in the general area.
The courtyard at the front of the theatre is small but comfortable. The theatre itself has a historical feel inside. The seats are comfortable enough. The bar serves a small but wide range of drinks both alcoholic and non-alchoholic, not to mention sweets, chips etc.
All in all, I really enjoy my visits to the Brisbane Arts Theatre.
