Broken Bay Game Fishing Club
The Broken Bay Game Fishing Club was established on April 18, 1961 by a group of boat owners and anglers from Pittwater and the Hawkesbury River system who believed that there was room in Sydney for a second Club to cover the northern part of Sydney (The Sydney Game Fishing Club had been formed in 1952).
During the past two decades as a Division of the RMYC Broken Bay the Club has continued to prosper and maintain its dominance competitively as one of the larger game fishing clubs within Australia with unrivalled member facilities. The Clubs annual Broken Bay Invitational Tournament was first run in 1993. Held during mid-March, it has grown to be the largest and most successful Club sponsored game fishing event in Australia with sponsorship and prize value in excess of $130,000. The tournament is second only to the NSW Interclub held at Port Stephens during the last weekend of February and the first weekend of March.
