I agree with the below post. Mick & Oumymah are so lovely you feel like part of the family. As are all the staff! And the food is fantastic, home made, real food. AND I've been in there when Nicole & Keith were there, (I ordered an extra coffee to stay & stickybeak) & Jennifer Hawkins said in an interview it's her favourite cafe! But they don't care whether you're Nicole Kidman or Joe Blow they'll treat you wonderfully regardless!! Real people, real food, if I don't go there at least once a week I'm not happy....
I'm a regular here, it's not the coffee or the decor (bright and airy on the top of the hill with a nice breeze) that brings me back but the owners - a lovely old couple who are absolutely adorable and work their butts off. They always wave and have a chat to us and remember our order. My favourite is the homemade muesli with poached pear, it's a big portion, not too sweet, just right! Avoid the crowds and queues and go to Bronte Carlo for homely service and food.
This cafe is far from the maddening rush of its mainstream counterparts at Bronte Beach and therefore is a popular haunt for locals looking for a relaxing place to eat.
Owners Mick and Oumymah ran one of the original take-away milk bars at Bronte beach before moving up the hill to their present location.
They still have a dedicated folowing coming in for their delicious falafels, big breakfasts, heart-warming home made soups, middle eastern treats, hamburgers and, of course, coffee.
Recently spotted in the cafe were Nicole Kidman and hubbie Keith Urban.
There is no place better to soak up the morning sun and read the paper in peace while tapping your toes to the beat of some great middle eastern music, mixed in with a bit of Carlos Santana.
