My family and I were amazed at how this gorgeous venue was completely missmanaged by the rude staff that served us.While browsing the chapel at the front we were greeted by an extremely rude "can I help you". We explained we were there simply for some tea and scones and were ushered through the restaurant to a semi outdoor are at the back. Once seated we were told they only had 4 scones left to which we said ok we will share. Now the service was rude and unwelcoming but when told we would be charged $10 per head for 4 scones and a pot of tea we were flabergasted given that there was 5 of us. $50 for four scones and a pot of tea??? Are you really serious. They even wanted to charge my four year old daughter $10 when all she would have wanted was a lemonade. This place should be put out of its misery. Exceptionally bad, rude service, food was disgusting (well, the soup seemed like it was out of a can, the beef bourgiugnon extremely average, the scones looked ok, although they forgot to write down our order and left us waiting for an hour after being assured by one waiter they were on their way). We wanted to share one serve of the beef and one of the scones, however were told in no uncertain terms "no sharing". This place relies on tourists who don't do their research - don't go!

I went to Brother Jons today and was absolutely disgusted with the way that my family and I were treated. We went as a group of 4 and stood for 15 minutes at the door waiting to be seated. Only after 15 minutes did one of the staff tell us that there we no tables available, prior to that they just ignored us. Another 2 minutes passed before we were taken to our table, which hadnt even been cleared. The waiter literally slammed the menus on the table and began clearing the mess. After advertising their heavenly scones we decided to give 'em a try. Despite paying $5.00 for each scone and then being asked to pay extra for butter the scones were quite heavenly (thank God!). The staff were somewhat grumpy.
