Brunswick Street Alimentari

I work close by to Alimentari so decided it would be my regular for afternoon cake and or coffee/chai.
At first the service was lovely, drinks perfect and the soy chai though a little pricey for my budget at $5 was well worth it.
Sadly since then the service has been very inconsistent, either really nice or quite rude depending on the person. The last drinks I had were made with absolutely no love by a staff who clearly had personal issues which staff was pouring into my coffee. Having worked in hospitality for many years I have total empathy for how stressful it can be however there are many people I'm sure who would love and actually enjoy working there. I'll give it one last try but I'll certainly take my caffeine addition elsewhere if it doesn't improve! This is not an attack it is a lovely place and the food looks amazing, just think a FEW of the staff need a bit of training!

The food is excellent traditional Italian. Servings are hearty and prepared fresh. The lasagne was delightful and there was a good reasonable range to choose from. Servings were very generously-sized and service was great. It feels like being invited to someone's home for a great meal!

This is really nice place for coffee or sandwiches. Their sandwiches are extremely good and the staff are attentive and pleasant. I love going there just for the atmosphere.

Excellent deli food on Brunswick St. Apparently very popular with cyclists in lycra, which is usually a good sign the coffee is great. Unfortunately the coffee is only good, not great. However, I am constantly drawn back due to quality of the food!
