Bruny Island House Of Whisky

A cosy retreat very near the Bruny Island ferry wharf, where you can try and taste the different smoked delights including, wallaby, trout, salmon and mussels.

Our host was a local who took time to explain I is the details of the produce and let us sample different products while telling u how we could use them in cooking. As we browsed the shelves, my husband spotted a pomegranate syrup. Upon tasting, we were hooked, it was thick, sweet, and caralmelised... I instantly imagined drizzling the dark gooey syrup over yogurt, or in a salad... And I bought it! It was $16 and it is exclusively made by BISH, so it made the perfect souvenir.

Come and try the smokey goodness! There were platter for two on the board for $55 or $75... As we were about to leave we saw them bring one out... And it looked great! This is definitely a stop when you are on Bruny island.
