My family and I have been stopping in at Bryson's when we travel down the coast to visit relatives in Toowoomba for about seven years now. I have always found the service and the staff friendly and helpful. I have even attended a wedding reception there which was fantastic. There are not many small businesses around anymore that I can say make you feel welcome. So I was surprised to see a bad review and felt I had to have my say. I am also a nurse and have a child with a physical disability, which sometimes makes it difficult for us as a family to go out to places such as these without getting the usual disapproving stares. Bryson's always made room for us and made us feel welcome each time we visited. I will definately continue to visit when we trave down there again.
My Mum and I always like to have a look in gift shops and have a cuppa. However we will never ever go to Bryson's ever again because of the rude and aggressive manner of the staff. We stopped there on the 1/3/2011 my Mum had $500 in her hand bag given to her my her Father for her birthday ready to spend on something nice. This staff was so rude that we left in disgust, absolutely speacheless that a business owner could be so rude. I am just sorry that we wasted our money buying morninig tea at this place. I hope that if this business struggles that it is not blamed on floods, economic downturn etc because it is down to their aggressive and rude mannerism, plain and simply. I am a nurse so I am used to working with people in stressful and vulnerable situations and different personalities, but that behaviour has absolutely blown me away - I am still shaking my head 6 hours later.
