Bubble cup used to be the place to get bubble tea. Now, they have gone down hill. The taste needs to be improved as well as the popular topping choice of pearls to compete with their fellow competitors.

They do not offer the natural flavours of just your standard tea range and I think their new line of the black label doesn't help as well.

The bubble cup chain has been around for years but could do with some updating. The tea base is quite nice but the flavours are more on the artificial side. The service is not as personable although turnaround time is faster than it's competitor Cha Time. My regular drink of choice is a strawberry milk tea with coconut jelly and it hardly disappoints here. Not too sweet, very fruity, and a perfect way to cool off on a blazing hot February day.

I recall the first time I came across this when visiting Hong Kong over 14 years ago. It was on every street corner almost. Over the last few recent years Im seeing these little stalls pop up almost in arcades, shopping centre, food court all over Australia. Bubble tea is a sweetly flavoured tea beverage, usually made from a tea base mixed with fruit and/or milk, though recipes can vary. Fruit-flavoured ice-blended versions are also available. Most bubble teas also contain small balls or pearls of tapioca or jelly. The prices are cheap. The service is quick and efficient. Once youve selected youre ideal drink/content, this will be placed in a plastic cup and sealed. You simply pop it open with one of their large straws, made to be able to suck the tapioca or jelly through. Always great as a drink on the run or simply even as a dessert after a lunch meal.

A very popular Bubble Cup that has been in the this arcade for some time. But the quality of the drink itself has declined. It is very milky and sugary, the pearls are too soft and overcooked. I prefer the one in Chadstone shopping centre which is still nice, just like what Bubble Cup used to be ten or so years ago.
