Has Caused $9300 Damage To My Car!!
Order a car service form this guy who i even gave a tip too. Found out fuel filter housing he put in damaged my fuel pump and injectors. Car wouldnt work 1 day later, had to get it towed to another mechanic who advised need to replace the fuel pump and injectors etc..$9400 damage. Budget has since wont even pay back the money for the service or come to fix the car. Worst mechanic i have ever come acress.
The fuel filter is a catridge thats made up of paper , not metal. The metal pieces that vw found in the fuel system would be from a damaged fuel pump caused by dirt in the fuel tank or contaminated fuel, not the fuel filter. Also you have travelled 760km after new filter replaced , the fuel pump will suck the dirt into the filter when running it to near empty and cause this type of damage or caised by contaminated fuel. The fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. This car traved over 100,000 KM. diesel fuel contains more dirt than petrol fuel.
So it must be the fuel pump in the tank stopped to work properly then stopped engine running .
