BCI Firth didnt take the time to inspect our roof back in 2015 resulting in the parapet wall collapsing this week. If they had taken the time during the initial inspection they would of notice the wall was supported by rusty straps attached to the roof.
Resulting in major grief and financial heart ache.
Dont want any other families to experience what we have been through.

I could not agree more. We have had the EXACT same shocking experience with no concern or action from BCI Firth. Put our family at a great safety risk and also lead to a significant financial outlay that we would never have proceeded with had we recieved a report from a competent building inspector.
They should in fact be taken to court, such is their disregard for the safety of those they as supposed to protect.
Hi Debra, I'm sorry you feel this way as you appeared satisfied and understanding when I came staright out to discuss your concerns. As discussed we felt it was clear the wall was undermined by the extensive building works you currently have going on at the home and the fact the tradesman advised that the wall moved extensively when his worker stood against it while changing the roof sheets. While we empathize with your situation the wall in question was simply not showing signs of movement at the time of inspection over 2 years ago.

Building Consultancy and Inspections provided a prompt service with a detailed quote. Once they were engaged they quickly organised the inspections and co-ordinated with the real estate agent making the process very easy for myself. The report was detailed but easy to read with the help of the notes. The inspector also took the time to further discuss the results of the inspection on the phone. Overall very pleased and would definitely recommend their service.
We found B.C.I to be an excellent and thorough Building Consultancy and Inspection team. The service from start to finish was professional and thorough. Every person in the team we spoke to was highly efficient and helpful. Our report from Ian was very thorough with lots of helpful suggestions for our 80's reno house. We had two reports for two separate homes which helped us in making our decision. We are very happy with the house we chose and comfortable the improvements we want to make to our home are achievable. We have kept Ian's report to assist with changes we make as he gave some excellent suggestions and advice in the report.
I would like to thank B.C.I. on their amazing service that was provided . I found them very professional and very helpful with any queries I had regarding the survey on a house that we were buying. It was a very big and old house that had lots of nooks and at times were really difficult to get in to. However Ian the surveyor was excellent. He managed to get in to all the areas, in the roof and under the house.( some were a bit of a tight squeeze).
I found that the inspection was carried out with precision and accuracy. The report was highly descriptive and hugely informative. The job took way longer than either of us expected and there was no issue with the surveyor staying longer to complete the inspection.
