DO NOT USE BUILDSAFE INSURANCE!
As an owner builder I took out a policy with Buildsafe. Unfortunately there was an incident on my site which led me to submit a genuine claim. See Buildsafe’s response below, which I waited weeks to receive. There was no assessment carried out in respect to my claim. Buildsafe take no responsibility and appear to simply act as a broker. Buildsafe is great until you need to make a claim! AGAIN DON’T USE BUILDSAFE.
“HSB Engineering Insurance does not accept that the presented loss occurred within the Policy Period.
Given the above review and subsequent findings we regret to inform you that HSB Engineering Insurance will not respond to the above mentioned loss.
They have noted you are entitled to seek legal advice in respect of your claim...”
We had a great experience with BuildSafe, we were so stressed trying to sell our property. They helped us from start to finish and worked with our conveyancer to make this such a smooth process. We knew very little about the insurance we needed but BuildSafe made it very easy. We wouldnt hesitate to use them again.
Do not give your money to this company as all there interested in is to take your premium. After that !!!!
We had our trailer stolen from our factory we are building in Tyabb as owner builders on the 16/10/14.
We lodged a claim with Buildsafe on the 20/10/14.
Now 20/11/14 and still no response no letters,no emails,no claim number there not even keeping us updated via email nothing,zilch,nada. I keep leaving phone messages but they can't help.. The answer i get is we don't know what's going on>>>
