Bull & Bush Tavern

The Bull & Bush had been a real favourite since the new management took over. Not any more - great food shame about the service. We turned up early for our 7.15 booking to find photocopied stapled menus with the red wine page missing. Service was brusque with evident impatience while I looked for a red wine (hardly my fault I had been unable to select earlier). Eventually ordered our food - and then a long wait. Apparently they were busy and there was a big table - no apology for the wait. Finally got our entree at 8.10pm almost an hour after sitting down - delicious and management dropped by to tell us how busy they were but did not appreciate that was not our problem. Got the main in good time - delicious again although the parsnip puree was cold. Decided not to bother to try and get dessert and paid our bill and left.
