I sent my partner to bundall tyres to get two new tyres and the front directional tyres removed from rim, rotated, balanced and switched from left to right, right to left due to the camber on the front of her BMW. After putting the two new tyres on the rear, an employee at bundall tyres turned her away saying
"We can't rotate directional tyres because they'll be spinning the wrong way". The tyres are still very legal and anyone with a clue knows that it can be done by removing the tyre from the rim and flipping it. I've sent my partner to bundall tyres on 3 occasions to have this done and she has been turned away each time even after I was quoted to do it over the phone. This is highly inconvenient as I work away and am unable to sort this simple matter out. Very poor. I will be getting new tyres for my 4by4 elsewhere
Hi Conrad, As the owner of this business I am disappointed that you feel you have had a bad experience. I am familiar with your vehicle and all 4 of your wife's visits. We did offer to 'flip' the tyres on the second visit for a charge however your wife chose to wait until she had more money as she had just bought new tyres. When she did return the 3rd time and we went to strip, fit and balance the tyres the tyres were bald on the inside edge. It is unsafe and illegal for us to put bald tyres back on your vehicle. This was explained to your wife and that she would need new tyres. When you called the fourth time to book in for a strip fit and balance you never mentioned that this was the issue previously, just because you make a booking does not mean we will fit unsafe tyres to your vehicle. When your wife did come in again it was the same issue and your tyres were bald on the inside edge. For safety reasons we could not do your request. We will not fit unsafe tyres. Thanks Matt
Over my years of driving, I have used many services and have always found that being a female, I seem to be taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge with cars.
Not today. I used Bundall Secondhand & New Tyres for the first time, and I'll never go anywhere else. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with the most amazing customer service. I would highly recommend them to everyone, especially females whom sometimes can feel intimidated going into workshops. See you next week for a wheel alignment
