We ordered the bowl of wedges and they were so overly oily that we couldn’t eat them. You could literally squeeze the oil out of each piece. Also had the pulled beef burger which was ok. Not great food. But lovely staff, and a very nice looking club. I would not eat here again. Nice place for a drink though.
For an RSL the food is pretty good. A good selection to suit everyone at a reasonable price and i always enjoy my meal.. I dont think i would travel all the way here normally but its convenient for when i visit the area and want to eat out. I only wish they would have a dessert menu other than the pre made ice creams . Gotta agree the review about the decor... ive never tried the wine though
Ahhhhhhh, the joys of a local , small town RSL. There ain't nothin' like it. Bundeena's only an hour away from Sydney but it's really a world away. The waterside community fringed by the Royal National Park is a weekend getaway and also a outer Sydney suburb.
Q:What is there to do on a Friday night in Bundeena?
A: Not much.
So it has to be the arey! Meat tray raffles, pokies, beer, drinking with the locals! Hurrah!
If you are under 50, you will feel young here so therefore I love it. The people here are really friendly and up for a laugh. The drinks are cheap and the food is actually quite good for an RSL. Fresh oysters, good quality steaks, the usual schnitzels and meals for the kids.
Don't come here for the wine selection though ( or the decor)
But do come to support the local RSL. It's places like Bundeena RSL that make small communities like Bundeena.
