Bunnings is my first choice because of the great selection of products, their competetive pricing and their normally very helpful staff. With one exception. I purchase quite a bit of electrical equipment and materials at the Browns Plains Bunnings, and on every occasion (without exception) that I have requested to speak to their (electrical) staff member for product information or whatever, he is never available but I am told that he will be with me in a few minutes. I have had to wait up to 25-30 minutes for him to finally attend and answer a simple question. No excuse for such tardy lack of service to customers. If he can't do his job properly then he shouldn't be there. Otherwise a great store.
Although Bunnings has a great number of products available, the brands and models within the categories are often restricted to just a few. I could not find original replacement blades for my Rover lawn-mower, despite my having bought the machine some years back at Bunnings. They have also stopped selling Wattyl paints.
Staff are generally courteous. We have shopped here a few times in the evening when it is less crowded, but the knowledge of the night-shift workers sometimes leaves much to be desired.
