Burwood Road Medical Centre

The Pros: close to public transport and in the Westfiled complex, easy to find. Has an adiacent Pharmacy and Woolworths supermarket. Can walk and get an appointment.
Cons: One of the worst services I have ever had the displeasure of having, from the doctor I saw making me feel uncomfortable showing condition almost to a point where I questioned if to be there at all or not to the blood test lady being beyond rude and uncompassionate. True I got all the queries checked but I could have easily seen another practice with a better service. People use this place becuase its at a major hub (Burwood), otherwise I dont really see the appeal.

I saw the female doctor today, who was beyond rude. Firstly I walked in and she was sitting with her back was facing me, she was focused on her computer. I said hello, but she didn't reply or even look at me. For about 5 minutes I watched as she read and replied to a personal email regarding an investment - totally unrelated to patient care and extremely unprofessional. Will not be returning.

Only went to this place because it opens on Sat/Sun. Every time have terrible experience. Once she could not do a simple pap on my wife and complained that the bed was in an unusuall position and asked my wife to goto her own place on Liverpool rd, that consultation should be free but it wasn't. How can a GP not able to do a pap and my wife was screaming cos GP was hurting her. Another time my son needed ultrasound next day and gave me a referral. I called up the ultrasound center told me they don't do children under 10. I almost gonna hit someone. Isn't that obvious that children needs referral for pediatrician??? However I had ok experience with the male dr there. I say ok because he never close the door and everytime he seems to rush a little bit. But that might just be my personal preference. So 0 for her. 3 for the male dr.

Dr Basta is a lovely man and a good doctor.Egyptian.
