BWS - Melton (Macs) Drive In

Easily my favorite place to eat in Melton, the food is good and the prices are reasonable.

I was served by a guy who couldn't recommend a bottle of wine and was surly and rude. But usually my experiences here are great.

me and the boys go to macs every day after a hard days work layin bricks one days im gonna book a table in there fancy resterant its gonna be so great i get the stake sanwicth and it rocks

My husband and I just went to Mac's bistro for lunch. After perusing the menu, the only salad available was a chicken caesar salad. When ordering I asked if I could have the caesar without the chicken. This appeared not to be a problem although I was surprised that I was still charged for the chicken. When the plates came out, what I had looked nothing like a caesar salad. There was shredded iceberg lettuce, stale packet croutons, an overboiled egg cut in half and what appeared to be the fatty offcuts from bacon which were hardly cooked. This was saturated with some goop that obviously came straight out of a jar. For $18.50 I expected a beautifully poached egg, some crispy bacon, toasty croutons with fresh anchovies and shaved parmesan cheese which are the star ingredients of this recipe. Needless to say, I won't be returning.
