Zero star. I would give zero star if I could. Terrible. They make you book with just the first name of the passenger, I should have known, I wondered why it was just the first name when normally it should be as per the passport names. Then they will make you change name and pay AUD 55 per person. Ridiculous. They say the instruction is on the "Help" section. What a dirty trick! Unbelievable. Such a low way to make extra money. When you call them, they have a specific option for "Changing name" so it must be common that people get tricked like we did. So unethical and really upset that we used Byojet. Not worth the slightly cheaper fare because you would lose it anyway with the trickery.
booked a flight for April 2018 from Melbourne to Manila,fare price was reasonable so i went on with booking the flight on Good Friday paid via BPAY,being a public holiday in Australia on a Monday,payment went through the next day,luckily I checked my email because BYOJET sent me an email saying my booking was cancelled because payment wasnt received, I checked my account and BYOJET did receive my payment. I called customer service to clarify the email I received and agent said there is nothing they can do because flight was already cancelled and gave me two options go ahead with the cancellation or book another flight which I have to pay more. I decided to cancel the booking however, they told me that refund may take up to 10 working days which is not fair because I paid for it as soon as I made the booking and they decided to cancel my booking just because the payment didnt reflect in their system when it was paid via BPAY. BYOjet. This is the most horrible service I've ever met. I can not book extra luggage through BYOjet. I waited 22.06.17 for the answer of the operator for 30-40 minutes. The operator of Gavi is very rough. From Gigi's manager, I waited 22.06.17 for an answer of 30 minutes but she did not want to talk to me. I spent a lot of time and money. I now do not know who made this mistake cheapflights website or BYOjet. But as a result, I lose my money and time. I'm a customer why should I pay for a bad service?
I booked tickets from BNE to LAX using Skyscanner and the fares were at a really good rate. As I had used BYOjet once before with no problems, I booked with them.
When I received confirmation, I checked my airline profile and couldn’t access the bookings. After giving up trying to ring, I used the online chat and was told my booking was booked and confirmed and they gave me a new airline reference code. I've just recently booked tickets with them and had to deal with their customer service. This is an absolute nightmare to get to their customer service. They just ignore your e-mails, make you to wait on-line for an hour and then drop out the call. The booking has no e-tickets as such, and I spent hours investigating validity of the booking. BYOJet would do ANYTHING possible to turn customer away. With the recent removal of travel agents industry regulations, there is no simple mechanism apart from consumer law enforcement agencies to sort out your troubles.
