Cacao Green

Cacoa Green on Bourke Street is located right in the heart of Melbourne city centre, across from Target Centre and Starbucks and the very busy Swanston Street/Bourke Street tram intersection. Tried it for the first time the other day and was quite impressed - the fro-yo here wasn't too sweet and the serving size and amount of toppings was generous given that I'd only wanted to get a small. It's a great alternative to ice cream during the summer and the 'healthier' focus will make you feel better about indulging. The service speed was just ok and it wasn't that easy to locate the water, apart from that Cacao Green is still a great fro-yo establishment.

Frozen yoghurt seems to be the new ice cream at the moment and places are springing up everywhere. I had no expectations when I came here so perhaps that was why I was pleasantly surprised. The flavours are interesting and there is plenty to choose from.

Located at the less busy section of Bourke St, this Cacao Green store occupies a slightly bigger space than of its sister store a few steps down the Swanston St. In addition to spacious covered outdoor seats, it also has a lot of tables and chairs of different kinds in its stores, giving you plenty of options to enjoy this store.

I can see this place is more for a quick dessert session or a simple catch-up with friends, and not so much of a place to wind down after a long day, since the place is still a little less spacious and not as atmospheric like in coffee shops.

Of course you would visit this store for its frozen yogurt, where the quality is undeniably good in both texture, taste, and flavour. They have unique flavours too, although overall they might not have as much flavour selections as the others (usually only four). The toppings are also of good quality, albeit rather average.
