Cafe 73 is part of, and attached to, the famous Fredo Pie shop on the highway at Frederickton, north of Kempsey. We have a great selection of freshly prepared food including gluten free in Cafe 73. Lots of hearty soups with crusty toast, both sweet and savoury pancakes, served with cream or ice cream (or both) on our sunny deck, (over looking the pacific, highway that is, not that blue wavey, watery stuff) or in the airconditioned dinning room, complete with the daily news paper and magazines for you to read while you await your gastronomical delight, that beats listening to Gay telling you her jokes!! We also have customers claiming we have the best Coffee on the coast, and we believe that "the cusomers are always right"!!. We are very family friendly, plenty of toys to keep the children happy, chalk boards etc. plus a run for your dogs to stretch their legs after being couped up in the car, they can chase a ball and have a run without a lead, as long as you supervise them, just ask the friendly staff for directions. We also have a lounge for tired travellers to doze on. We endevour to offer the best customer service possible, if you have any special needs then we will strive to accommodate them, please let us know how we can help you. We offer 56 varieties of pies in the pie shop, including our famous Crocodile, Camel, Venison and Kangaroo pies, not to mention our home made vanilla slices and lemon meringues. You are welcome to make your selection of pie, from the pie shop and take it into the Cafe to sit in comfort and enjoy. The buildings are separate, but they are both the same business. We provide clean roomy toilet facilities for your convienience as well as a car park at the back of Cafe 73, just turn into North st. and enter the car park directly behind the Cafe. Oh, the chooks might be out for a scratch, they don't peck you, they are too interested in getting rid of all those pesky plants that get in their way, and scattering the mulch over the asphalt. ...read more
