One of the most popular and most reliable cafes in Cairns. They do great lunches and breakfasts -- a cosmopolitan mix of mediteraenean food and great basics like fish and chips, gourmet burgers, salt & pepper squid. Very popular with the local 'stylish' set ... lots of media / designers but also lots of ordinary people. Service can be a bit slow during the busiest periods of the day (12-2) so it's worth getting orders in earlier. They have a wide wine list, good desserts and their coffee is pretty good. Only thing against them are their very uncomfortable iron work chairs ... but the ambiance of being open-air and on a busy corner -- great for people watching -- makes up for the chairs.
