Never again, what a disaster, the food was average and the service pathetic. They made us wait forever for everything. We were hoping to down a couplw of beers before the food came. The drinks arrived after we were almost done with the food. The meatlovers pizza was a joke.
Not the greatest Italian in Carlton but the fairly decent price and quantity Italian in Carlton. I stumbled across Cafe Cavallino trying to find something quick for lunch before i headed into a meeting on this side of town. Knowing how busy Carlton is i didn't want ti be waiting forever if i made an order in a known popular restaurant. So i parked near Cafe Cavallino and popped in to check out their menu. Great selection so i quickly ordered. Meals came out pretty quickly as well so cant complain. Presentation isn't the greatest but for the amount of time i had as long as the food is cooked properly for the price i paid, everything was average in terms of service, price, quantity and quality.
We are regulars at this at Cafe Cavallino , regulars as in one a week , we order the same thing every time and know the menu down pat !
But today was the last time I will ever go to that place again !
We ordered our regular never had a problem to this day , but today the vegetarian pizza didn't taste right and nothing like the regular , so I gave feedback to the staff that really didn't take it well I must say !
We asked for the bill and the small vegetarian pizza was charged to the bill , I asked the staff why am charged something I sent back to the kitchen and that didn't eat , he said I would need to go inside and pay and speak to the manger , so I did . ...read more
I had the displeasure of experiencing litterally the worst customer service I have ever had! Needless to say I will never be going back. They have no concept of treating their customers well. As for the Italian food: you might as well go to shop - it will be better than Cavallino. With so many other choices along Lygon, go anywhere but here
