This place is the best to come to at night after dinner time. The dimly lit interior makes it so much more laid back and relaxing and the tables are decorated with cute teapots and pot plants. We were already stuffed with food but came for their matcha latte, New York cheesecake and fruity waffles to share! The cheesecake slice was pretty big and it was dense and sweet which was good but we were so full already! Their waffles are crispy on the outside which makes a good waffle!
They say that insanity is doing the same thing 1000 times and hoping for a different outcome...in this case i must be a little insane - this is why I have and continue to patron this Cafe yet everytime after eating i ask myself why i chose to eat there (I've eaten here more than a dozen times with the same thoughts/outcome). In my defense, Cherry Beans is located within Ashfield shopping mall as such its very convenient to patron, for instance its on the same level as Woolworths and Aldi..and right next to the post office and a few paces to the doctors and dentists...location location! The staff are friendly but the food is below parr...just about everytime...last time i went there i had fish and chips and whilst it was served quickly and with a smile, the chips (whilst fresh oil was used to fry them up) tasted like they'd been frozen for too long with a sorta manky back taste..and the battered fish was much the same.
