Cafe Filling

Burgers! and i don't mean the things that McDonalds pumps out by the billions and calls burgers, i mean the original style burger - with beetroot as it should be. The owner and his family run this little place just like the milkbar/corner-stores of old. This area is loaded with overpriced boutique cafes brimming with hipsters. Cafe Filling isn't trendy, actually i'd suggest it's rather uninspiring and tacky but the food's great and the prices are set in the 1990s. Want a burger, chips and drink for under $10 in Surry Hills? This is your place.

I've been here few days ago. Relaxed atmosphere, with super friendly owners, great coffee, quite fresh/tasty wraps, burger.

Things were way cheaper than similar places.



I definitely would say give it a try if your in the neighborhood.

I'd say this is more of a takeaway/milkbar (do they even exist anymore) type place than a cafe. They offer burgers, wraps etc as well as a small selection of sushi. It's an o.k. choice when you're looking for something reasonably priced in an overpriced area.
