it was the last night of our holiday and we'd got engaged that day so were out to celebrate a special night. After looking at a few places around town we decided on here for the atmosphere and the people watching. We were seated promptly by the manager and our entree taken and a beer for my partner. When the manager came back and took our mains orders and then we waited and waited. I think at least a half hour... and then our mains came out - no entree! we asked about our entree and the staff went back to rectify it, we waited about another 20 mins (beer finished and me pregnant so starting to feel sick). Then the entrees come out and the staff wanted to give us our mains and entrees at the same time! For a start the table was too small to fit the plates, and secondly, our mains would have got cold. My friend and I stopped in here for dinner the other night. Located just in behind the Beach Hotel, the restaurant has a good view onto the street if you fancy a bit of people watching. The table next to us was free so we both sat facing out onto the street and enjoyed the music from local buskers. The place has a nice, open beachy atmosphere with nice lighting and comfy cane chairs. We started with the sourdough bread with an array of tasty, fresh dips, including fetta, olive oil and dukkah, hommus and an olive tapenade. For the main I had the special which was fresh Atlantic salmon. I am a little picky with my fish so will only order things like salmon if I strongly suspect it will be well prepared. I suspected right. The salmon was perfect, the sauce was incredible and the potatoes were also done to perfection with just a little bit of crispiness around the edge.
