Just went for a coffee. It's a regular run of the mill coffee, nothing special but the locals seem to like it as it was quite busy with take away coffees. Selling toby's estate, that's probably a large selling point. For food they offer wraps, mini wraps ($5 is good) and burgers mostly. Banana bread and muffins on sale too (not sure how fresh, they didn't look made today). I got a nice iced latte (minus cream and ice cream to be healthy). The lady was super nice and efficient. Leafy space outside too and papers to read.
Yesterday i had breakfast at Cafe Isar for the first and last time. My dining experience began after taking the first sip from the large cup of bittery black-water which they serve as "coffee". I ordered the Hippy Feast because it is the most expensive item on the menu and because it sounded fantastic unfortunately the food was tasteless and the portions were tiny. The no-frills canned baked beans were served in a small sauce bowl. The bread was thin and of quite a small serving. The avocado was dry and hard to spread. The hash browns were soggy. The roasted tomatoes literally tasted like water. The mushroom was flavoursome but there just wasnt enough on the plate.
My friend ordered a fresh juice which was iceless yet somehow managed to taste watered down.
The outdoor seating is nice.
My wife and I live just down the road from this cafe.
If I had it my way, every new cafe would send their staff here to learn what customer service is.
The staff here are of the utmost genuine friendly and polite nature. They have a dog bowl they bring over for our dog and fill it with cold water. Juices(FRESHLY SQUEEZED!), smoothies, coffee and tea - all delicious - cold drinks on the hot days and warm on the cold days. The food is perfect, the atmosphere relaxing and the service is outstanding.
You feel a warm welcome from the moment you walk in.
I couldn't recommed this place enough. Bring the family, bring the dog too!
Best cafe in the 2015 postcode!
