Cafe Italia is a well established restaurant that has been serving diners for over 20 years. Specialising in Northern Italian flavour, Café Italia makes their pasta fresh onsite and prefers to modernise traditional recipes in order to separate them from the rest of the Italian strip that Carlton is well known for. Fully Licensed, their wine list draws extensively from local and New Zealand wineries and Café Italia does not offer BYO. They also provide a variety of set menus for functions and have a wedding planner on hand to assist with those interested in using the venue as wedding reception.

Went here tonight with 4 other girlfriends for what we are now making a monthly catch up session. I chose this place for the good reveiw, moderate prices and what looked like a pretty generous menu.

Came here last night as a group of 4 with a voucher. Service with a smile and very efficient. They were very quick to seat us and take our drinks order. Returning shortly after to take our meal orders. Food came out quickly. 2 meals were average, 2 were very nice. My pasta was bland but I would give this place another go, because the service was so good and its really nice inside, warm and cosy, with a fireplace and gas heathers throughout. Very nice atmosphere.
Cafe Italia is a wonderful place to go with family, friends or for a romantic dinner for two. The food here is delicious and not as expensive as some other places in the area. While the food may take a while to arrive, it is well worth it as it is freshly made. They have a children's menu, and paper and crayons to keep the kids entertained.
