Mondello do their breakfasts well, but so does everybody on this part of Charles St. The problem with Mondello's is it's size - and I suppose it's popularity. They're certainly not begging for customers, so if you don't show up early, you'll be hard pressed to squeeze in. The service is consistently bright and friendly, though, and the food always hits the spot - so if you do manage to grab a table, it's worth it.
Cafe Mondello is new, modern, comfortable and attractive. Outside at street level Al Fresco with umbrellas. The menu reflects the newness of the Cafe, with an attractive, well prepared, nicely presented range of breakfast brunch options. The coffee is Di Bella. We enjoyed a very well made coffee and fresh made orange cake and a florentine, in fact it was so appetising we had a repeat. This cafe has only been opened five months, and is already popular.
