Been starting to get my regular coffee from here as it’s conveniently located. I love the service here because even though they do get quite busy at times, I still find that they don’t rush you through the queue, and some of the staff even remember you and know your regular order which is always a bonus! The coffee is mostly always great, sometimes they’ll have an off day but it’s not too off, so overall the quality is good!
The warmth emanating from this caf comes from all directions. Whether it be the space heaters that are blaring during winter; the smiles, conversation & laughter from the staff; or the coffee & tea itself; the staff at Caf on Collins will be sure to serve you and try to bring a smile to your face.
It is the only place in the CBD that I rely on, having been let down 'trying out' many other places around town.
At the intersection of Collins St and Elizabeth street, positioned in front of the Bendigo Bank, there is this little stall that specialises in the traditional morning coffee. Okay, most people probably walk in here, grab their usual, and walk out, but they do have some seating where you can sit down and take in the Melbourne morning vibe before you head for a day at work. What impressed me was how friendly the guys behind the coffee machine were, and they even offered me a discount on my morning tea since, in their words, it was only water. Okay, it was a little strong, but I can generally handle that, but I do quite like this place, and will certainly make it a stopping point on my way to work. Mind you, as far as I am aware, it is only open during the day because when I walk past here after work it is usually closed up.
