Been here twice, but the first one was long time ago. This time i ordered Japanese ochazuke, grilled rice ball, salmon, nori, arare, chicken jasmine dashi. The portion a bit small for me.. But the presentation was nice, they put the chicken stock in the tea pot, so u can pour it by yourself. Ordered matchamisu.. Looks good, but unfortunately i dont like it, cant taste the mascarpone, the matcha also not strong..

Having recently dined at the sister location in Surry Hills, it was time to try out the original. Food and service was spot on - the pork katsu sandwich is a must try and the ham, cheese and tomato toastie is a winner with the kids.

This place is awesome - in a little house in Redfern and has outdoor and indoor seating. There's heating outside if you need it. The food is Japanese inspired and breakfast options have things like spicy miso pork, flaked crab with ponzu, miso buttered mushrooms on toast as well as regular breakfast staples like banana bread, poached eggs or a croque Madame. The lunches have another roller toast cauliflower, poached chicken and green tea noodles, sandwiches (katsu, pulled chicken or edamame falafel) and new spring menu. There is pork belly, okonomiyaki fritters, spicy beef burrito or a soft shell crab burger. Such interesting options. The fries with Aomori, pink Murray salt looked ...read more

I love the baked sweets that they have here and that’s why I keep coming back! There are many unique options which are great for a catch up over coffee when you are feeling like something small as opposed to a breakfast or lunch. Not all cafes have a good variety of house baked items in the front counter but here there is.
