Cafe Pantai

After a long day of furniture shopping, my bestfriend and I were in need of some good food and Thai was the cuisine to hit the spot! I knew we wouldn't go wrong with Pantai so we headed here after the shops closed to catch the sunset by the beach before heading in to grab a table. On the menu that night for us - definitely Pad Thai and we decided to try their Thai Beef Salad alongside a glass of Moscato each. Perfecto! The food was delicious, serving sizes were decent and the service was quick. The prices here a little higher than you would at let's say a suburbian thai eatery (not restaurant) but the flavors were all there and the dishes made well.

Came here specifically to try the pad thai, and oh, it was a good pad thai. Also tried my partners laksa at that was pretty good as well. Its hard to find good thai food that doesnt have a lot of faults. (either too sweet, too spicy, not enough of this or that..) but Pantai was pretty good in our books. Great location beach front, service was average and although a little odd that you can order food and drinks from the caf across from it/viceversa.. I think its a good thing. The only pitfall for me was that they didnt have any Asian desserts (particularly looking for the Black Sticky Rice). If you dont have Asian desserts on your menu at an Asian restaurant, that loses marks.

Nice location. Food was great. Nice size meal. Service could be better. Not a lot to choose from.

My partners a Coffee lover but I love a good Hot Chocolate and they served the best one I've had for years!!!!!
