small sandwich bar style caf in Mt Waverley village shops for a simple quick lunch/breaky. ready made sandwiches, and some home made warmer meals (such as soups in winter), couches and tables inside and a few tables out on street. I had a egg and lettuce sandwich and an iced coffee for $10.30 and the sandwich was good and the iced coffee great. cheap prices and staff really lovely. easy to park out the front.
recently had a change of ownership, so a bit disappointing eg salad sandwich used to be piled high with lots of salad ingredients including black olives, now it is alot thinner with a few salad ingredients and cheap sliced (plastic wrapped cheese). hopefully it gets better as new owners make this place their own, prices remain same - reasonable.
the owners of this breaky/lunch place are friendly and inviting hosts, the coffees are great, prices are very cheap, the menu is small/basic but adequate (breakfast meals including eggs, sandwiches, soups, curries, cakes, roasts, etc), plenty of tables, including outdoor seating, child friendly, easy to park nearby, close to train station
