Our menu's change seasonally so we make sure we bring you the most fresh, local produce from South Australia. From here we prepare all our meals in house so you can indulge in a healthy and yummy menu.
Decor: primitive rustic with lots
of hessian, chunky wood & exposed ceiling pipes covered in old building plans! Large bags of oranges under the front counter add colour and interest as do lots of plants and flowers both inside, and out on the corner, sunny Al fresco area. Customers can choose between high tables and stools or lower table and chairs. Fair trade & organic origin coffee, with fresh food are on offer, cakes and pastries displayed, with both lunch and breakfast menus available. A large range of drinks including alcoholic & beers on tap to accompany. Thursday & Friday Tapas are served. Very popular as the Cafe opens out to take over the street corner, with a tidy reserve across the road. Excellent coffee.
While i have been here a few times now. the first time was the best!
lunch time it was amazing. the food was divine and the service was second to none. seriously friendly staff.
however the evening that i have been here it hasnt been so good with food. the staff are still beautiful and friendly and even helpful, but the chef or cook rather does not like criticism at ALL! we ordered two dishes exactly the same - lamb, as we were two couples and sharing our meals. the lamb was slightly over cooked, but the spices were amazing and the flavour was YUM! but the other lamb was fatty and disgusting. so bad that we took it back up and said its too fatty.
the cook came out with the SAME (yes i said the SAME) piece of meat on the top of the same dish and she had just cut the meat off of the bone and told us ...read more
My friend and I were looking for a place to have a cuppa and chat and I noticed this place as we were coming towards it and said let's go! Glad we did! Although we only had a cuppa (and a delightful pot of tea it was), I am intrigued to come back to try something from the menu and also just to chill out and catch up with friends. Really like the set up/surroundings!
Love the decor! Great to see that the owners are hands on. Good coffee. The menu is small but that's ok as long as it's done well. We tried the eggs in sauce. The sauce was delicious - obviously home made - but the eggs needed a bit more cooking. The cinnamon buns were good for something different. Definitely give this place a go.
