The best restaurant we have ever been to. We were recommended to Cafe Y by family and after a bit of a challenge to find it we come back whenever we can. We came back the second time to confirm if it was "that good" the first time round.. Drove up third time with our parents, they loved it, we had big grins again.. Now we find any excuse to take the drive up to the barossa and come to this restaurant. On every occasion we have been overwhelmed by the warmth and professionalism of the owners/ staff, the quality and freshness of the food (garfish fillets on smashed potatoes smothered in a creamy mcguigan sauvignon blanc sauce is just incredible, eye fillet steak always cooked the way we want it, wood fired pizzas....the pork belly, apple and fennel pizza..there's no comparison..), the setting is out of a fairytale book, the view over the creek with sheep grazing, a separate chateau a short walk away for wine tasting...Come and try it for yourself, kick back and enjoy a ...read more
