Caffe Stazione

Located in the restaurant precinct of Eastland and opposite the railway station (hence the name), Caffe Stazione has big windows that let in a lot of light. There's ample indoor and outdoor seating during the week, but not sure how busy it gets on weekends. Came here for lunch and a coffee but couldn't find any menus - it appears that there are specials on a chalk board near the counter and then just take a look at the big display case of quiches, rolls, lasagne, pizza and the like and then make your choice. Prices appeared reasonable but my choice of the chicken baguette appeared larger in the display case than on my plate. It was in fact not enough to fill me up and I'm not a huge eater by any means. However it was delicious and the baguette so crusty and fresh. The coffee was a little disappointing - being an Italian cafe/restaurant, I was expecting it to be great but it was a little average and not strong enough. Service was fine.
