I have mixed reviews about this place:
5 star: Their mud cake! I've had a custom made number 1 cake and a mud cake slab that I decorated myself for a themed party. Both times it was delicious and I received lots of compliments on the cakes.
1 Star: The other times I've had cakes from here they were rubbery and bland. The Bacci cake and the Banana Choc Mousse. The Banana Choc one was also about half frozen when we went to eat it. It was picked up at 4pm put in the fridge then eaten around 7.30pm. We weren't told it was still defrosting and needed to be left out of the fridge. When I called to complain the next day I was told I would have to bring the cake back in??
Thanks for the review and thanks for being a regular customer of ours. I am sorry if you received a Banana choc mousse cake from us and it was not up to standard. We discontinued this product about a month ago as it did have to be frozen in order to prevent the freshly mashed banana that goes into the cake from browning. Generally it would be made fres, thrown straight into the freezer to preserve the quality and then timed to be ready for the customer. This was the case with all our mousse cakes which is why all three (banana Choc Mousse, Fig & Hazelnut and the Day and night was changed to a cheesecake) were discontinued this year so we could focus on producing fresh cakes that are less troublesome. If there is any problem with any cake our policy is for the customer to return what is left of the cake for a full refund. If you wish to discuss further please feel free to contact us on 9248 8996.
