Cakes by the Zimmermann

I had the honour of receiving a surprise birthday cake made by Cakes by the Zimmermann, which is fully deserving of this 5 star rating! Not only was it elegantly decorated with delicate white chocolate pieces and edible flowers, but as I cut through the red velvet sponge, it was indeed like velvet. People often say that you eat with your eyes, well this is so true in this instance! By the time I took my first bite, I just knew it was going to be meltingly delicious. And it was. The sweetness was exceptionally balanced against the cream cheese filling. Although quite a bold statement to make, I genuinely think that this was better than my wedding cake!

I would definitely recommend Cakes by the Zimmermann no matter what the occasion (as if you even need an excuse to have a Zimmermann cake!) :-)

We ordered a red velvet cake and it was amazing. Triple layer with cream cheese icing and beautifully presented. The best red velvet cake all of us have ever had.
We will be using Cakes by the Zimmermann again and highly recommend them.
