Caldermeade Farm Cafe

We went there for a milkshake, when we went in there was a sign please wait to be seated so we waited and waited and waited..... Until one of the staffs at the counter decided to ask how many there was of us.... Der we are standing right in front of you. So we said 5 staff said there is no tables for you so could you wait outside on the verandah!!!! In the freezing cold!!!! I said no and we walked out, we will never ever go there again, ever! If staff was smart enough and staff should have asked what we were having, there was a table for 6 that was reserved, we could have quickly drunk our milkshakes and headed off. But this is what happens when you leave staff in charge! I didn't even want to put half a star!

Have been here a couple of times, the food is reasonable however the service extremely poor. Last visit after being seated it took for ever to order, the 3 staff were flat out looking after 3 tables. Didn't help that guests that arrived after us were served before us.

The staff were disinterested and lacking in basic customer service skills.

Disappointed they use commercially produced milk seeing it is a working dairy and not more local produce. Has great potential just lacking that country service and food,

Very poor experience, arrived 14:30 NYD, waited to be seated then decided to initiate contact with one of four service staff behind the counter. "I will come and take your order", waited a further 5 minutes as the staff went on a break walking past us with no interest. Asked another if they could take our order, "I don't take orders, but I will get somebody"... A further 5 minutes and enough was enough....sign on the highway states "the u turn is worth it". You have got to be kidding!

Took a long time to order, shorter time to recieve our order . However the Devonshire tea and scones came out separately and I had to ask for the scones. Who would have thought I'd like to have them together? Customer service was poor and some of the older ones were very rude and it was like you were wasting their time. Not recommended... Such a shame this place has potential but they need to sort out their costumer service. Overpriced for what it is also!!

Went there yesterday with the kids and found the place fairy dirty and the staff were very rude. It was if having customers was annoying for them. NEVER again
